I think summer has arrived.  I am not really sure.  I tend to disappear during the transitional time, reappearing right in the dead of summer where you can’t argue that it is any other time of the year.  It’s been hot lately, beach days have happened, but the dog days have not settled in.  I broke my hand on one of the recent summer nights and have since stopped cooking.  I have been trying to go on the sandwich and prepared diet.  The things that do not require my right hand to prepare.  This sandwich has been a recent favorite, using up my stock of cranberry fig chutney from winter and fresh sage.  Toast some rye bread, and add bree and prosciutto.  A perfect sandwich for an al fresco summer afternoon lunch.
