Richard and DesNeiges’s Apartment: Provo, Utah

A while back I got to photograph Richard and DesNeiges’s apartment in Provo, Utah.  It’s an amazing space, located underneath a commercial building on the busiest intersection in Provo.  Being located underneath handfuls of shops, there were a lot of challenges in setting up the apartment… such as the lack of windows.  However, Richard, being the savvy architect he is, was able to create a welcoming and vibrant space, enhancing the industrial and potentially dismal setting.  Great place to photograph, photogenic as can be as well as the added bonus that he got to be there to help guide me on all the main features he wanted showcased.  So, after some editing and a bit of time, are the images.

Wow, that is really awesome! I don’t know how I’d do with no natural light, but beyond that, that looks great. Super spacious too, not expected from a basement.

Yeah, they have been able to make that space work though somehow. I think it’d be difficult too! But they seem to have made it work quite nicely.

  • Roxanne says:

sam and i are really jealous right now.

    • Christine says:

Me too. I am always jealous of their house. And of you two. Hang out soon? Texas for Christmas, perchance?

      • Sam says:

We will be in Utah for Christmas but we should get together soon. This space is great. I saw your freaky vegetable show at BYU. I loved it.
